This is absolutely gorgeous work by Yoshimasa, a shinogi-zukuri o-wakizashi signed Bushu ju Yoshimasa. Fujishiro states - YOSHIMASA KÔZUKENOSUKE [KANBUN 1661 MUSASHI] SHINTÔ CHÛJÔSAKU. He is originally of the Nôshû Seki Zenjô house, is called Tanaka Genzaburô, and he also produced in Tosa. His style resembles that of Yasusada. (wazamono). Signatures: KÔZUKE NO SUKE MINAMOTO YOSHIMASA TSUKURI - BUSHÛ JÛ YOSHIMASA - KÔZUKE DAIJO MINAMOTO YOSHIMASA. The nakago is ubu and has 1 mekugi ana, file marks sujikai, and the base is kiri shape. The hamon starts with a long yakidashi, there is gunome-shi and sunagashi activity in the interior of the temper. Gunome temper of which the habuchi is covered in Ko-nie. The boshi is straight with small circle turn back (ko maru). This blade was made in Kanbun era when Yoshimasa was most active.
